SYNOPSIS

In this upbeat 2009 documentary, Director/Producer Yael Katzir pays tribute to Dr. Zfira Ogen, her aunt and teacher.
Zfira, a Tel Aviv native, who lives 80 years in Sheinkin St, is a unique woman, the ultimate teacher for many generations, educator,musician,scholar,Hagana-member & ATS (Auxliary territorial services in the British army)veteran. She is an articulate guide in the story of the early days of modern Israel. With humor and irony she unfolds stories of a country that she helped build and that she loves deeply.
Experience the sights, sounds and history of old Tel Aviv while strolling the neighborhood of Sheinkin Street, and Rothschild Blvd.
The film includes rare footage of the then Palestinian Jewish women who were track drivers in the British Army.
